Hana Basic is an Australian 100m sprinter, representing the green and gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
A child of Yugoslavian immigrants of war, Basic learned the importance of resilience from a young age. After building her strength, flexibility, balance and power from a decorated stint in gymnastics as a girl, athletics called. Since representing Australia in the world juniors in 2014, she has overcome numerous challenges to become one of the fastest women in the Australian history.
Basic is also studying to be a P.E. teacher, and is passionate about health and wellbeing as well as living a balanced and multi-faceted life.
