It is FREE to post an opportunity on our site and see which stars are interested. There is no obligation to accept and you only pay if and when we create a successful connection for you. Pickstar takes a 25% connection fee from the total budget on standard, finalised deals. For high budget or complex campaigns, Pickstar provides a capped fee structure. Contact us for more information.
Pickstar can connect you with a star for ANY budget … we have worked with budgets ranging from $200 to in excess of $50,000.
You set your budget and shortlist your preferred talent, who will respond to let you know if they’re interested. Pickstar talent can also apply to be considered for your opportunity – you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the top stars that will be keen to work with you!
Pickstar does not set prices for opportunities, we let the stars decide what they will and won’t apply for. And it’s not just about the budget. Stars will also apply if the opportunity aligns with their passions, and also if it is fun and convenient.
Of course, the bigger the budget, the more likely it is that you will get higher profile applicants, so we recommend providing your maximum budget. Most clients are stunned when they see the calibre of stars willing to engage with their opportunity. Give it a go and see for yourself!

When putting together your request for the talent, it is important to be as detailed as possible so expectations are clear (the Pickstar team can help with this).
Pickstar holds your payment in a holding account and will only distribute that money to the talent after the opportunity has been completed. If the unlikely event that the talent has not delivered on the agreed brief, you’ll get your money back. You can review the specifics of these terms and conditions before completing your booking.
Yes, as long you remain in compliance with the star's respective league rules. For example, in some instances businesses are not allowed to advertise a sports star wearing their team gear. In this scenario, you must advertise the athletes by name only and cannot publish any material that represents the player on the field. The athletes' images are protected fiercely by their codes and we respect this.

Pickstar contacts and vets all talent before their profiles are posted on our site. We work directly with talent and their management (if applicable).
Not to worry! You can add them to your shortlist, and we will make every effort to put your request in front of them.
No. We bring paid opportunities directly to stars (and their management), and handle the booking and payment process via our online platform. We are a talent marketplace and do not have exclusivity with any talent or management group.
Both, depending on each talent’s circumstances. It is common for Pickstar to work with both the talent and their manager when an opportunity is on the table. Many stars do not have a manager, or prefer to handle opportunities directly.
Pickstar has a great working relationship with many managers. Pickstar works with management companies to bring more opportunities to stars and enhance the experience for the talent and the client.
When a client and star agree to work together, Pickstar requires a 50% deposit to confirm the booking. Booking deposits are non-refundable if you cancel after booking a star. If a star cancels and Pickstar is unable to find a suitable replacement, we will refund the full amount you have paid us.
If you book within 14 days of your event, we will require the full payment within 7 days and prior to the event to confirm the booking. If the sports star does not turn up to the event, Pickstar will provide a full refund.
Marketing agencies and approved clients may qualify for customised payment terms. Contact us to discuss.
We know it can be tough to book an event with confidence in a COVID-impacted world. That’s why we’re here to help with options to give you peace of mind when you make a booking through Pickstar.
- Delay the booking - we’ll simply hold your booking for you until you’re able to complete it
- Go virtual - COVID has forced us to adapt and we’re no different. We can arrange a virtual appearance from your star
- Get a refund - if these options don’t work, we’re happy to provide a refund if cancelled prior to 48 hours before the event. If cancelled within 48 hours of event, we will provide a 50% refund of the booking fee.*
*In the case of Government regulated lockdowns, we will provide a full refund.
