On the water, Alyce Wood is a three-time Olympian (Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020, Paris 2024), World Champion, World Cup medalist, multiple Australian Champion, and Australian record holder. She retired from elite sport following the Paris Games, where her two-year-old daughter Florence proudly watched from the stands.
Off the water, Alyce holds a Bachelor of Communication and a Master of Business Administration (Public Policy). She is a small business owner, communications specialist, public speaker, and charity ambassador.
Alyce’s proudest title is Mum. After welcoming Florence in June 2022 and taking a season off racing, she returned to compete at the highest level. Now, she serves on both the Australian Olympic Team and Australian Institute of Sport Athlete Commissions and is a passionate advocate for women in sport—particularly in improving support for female athletes navigating motherhood, performance, and career longevity.
