Cessnock Leagues Club hosted a SOLD OUT International Women’s Day event on Friday, 5th March 2021. This event was a 3 course meal with live music, dancing and other entertainment. Shontelle was one of four of our key note speakers being interviewed on this year’s theme #choosetochallenge. You could have heard a pin-drop in the audience of over 230 people! Shontelle was so engaging, beautiful and charismatic which made the event. Shontelle couldn’t have been easier to work with in the lead up to the event, her professionalism is outstanding and her easy-going nature was just wonderfully accommodating… so much so we have invited her back again for next year! Her discussions ranged from her background to the struggles in women’s sport, inequality in earnings compared to male NRL players, her achievements, mental health programs and what the year ahead holds. We can’t wait to catch up with her next year to see what amazing achievements she has pulled off!

Shontelle from the North Sydney Bears came to the Berowra Wallabies to assist in facilitating a girl's rugby league clinic. There were girls ranging from 6 through to 14 and Shontelle was able to interact with and coach all of them. She was able to suggest drills and then explain to the girls in a manner that they were able to understand. The girls had an amazing time but also learnt some great skills from an elite player. Shontelle is an asset to the North Sydney Bears and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her for any club events or functions.
