Sharni Layton is an ex netball star who has recently transitioned into the AFLW. She made the switch from International/Super Netball to AFLW with Collingwood FC for the 2019 season. Layton means serious business on court but her off court demeanour is warm and friendly. Off the court she is in the media with Fox Footy and Channel 9. She is available to motivational talks from her athletic career, mental health struggles and also uses her personality to emcee events and loves a yarn.

Layton is passionate about continuing to build women in sport. She is determined and confident in her sporting career, as well as in other aspirations. She is also open to talking about the setbacks she has faced as well as her mental health. After taking 6 months off of sport due to exhaustion in 2017, she believes in paying forward the lessons she has learned about wellbeing.

Sharni was fantastic at our Launch event. She engaged the audience with humour and relatable stories, and portrayed the topic of female participation extremely well. We had some technical difficulties and Sharni did so well at filling the spaces and ensuring the audience was entertained throughout. Sharni stayed around to network after the event which the attendees really appreciated as they got to ask Sharni questions and get photos. We would be happy to recommend Sharni for other events and welcome her back at the council in the future.

We had the lovely Sharni Layton attend as a guest speaker for International Women's Day. Sharni was incredibly engaging and her relatable presentation style resonated so well with our audience. She was very accomodating and stayed around to sign copies of her book and chat with our staff. The feedback from those who attended was fantastic.

We booked Sharni Layton via Pickstar to attend and run our netball training. The whole process was so well communicated and Sharni was amazing!
