Emma Grant is the former Vice-Captain of Collingwood Football club in the AFLW. Having been drafted to the pies in the inaugural draft, Emma's' success story is a true testament to her determination and resilience as a player and person. Grant recently retired from the game in 2020.
Grant was promoted to the club's leadership group in 2018 and named Vice-Captain of the club for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. Emma is an extremely versatile footballer, with the ability to play all over the ground.
Outside of football, Emma is just as determined and hard working, having completed a Bachelor of Physical and Outdoor Education in 2013.
Emma has worked as both a primary and secondary school teacher and in 2024 accepted a full time role at Richmond Football Club as an assistant coach in the AFLW program and football operations co-ordinator.
Throughout her career, in both Football and Teaching, Emma has experienced adversity and has learned to rise to the challenge. Her experiences make her well equipped to share her story of resilience, mental health and leadership.
