Jodie jumped on to Pickstar and booked local Queensland Firebirds player Amy Sommerville to attend the event. The young players were absolutely thrilled to receive their trophies from a netball hero.
Gold Coast Hockey Association Awards Night with Peter 'Spida' Everitt
The Gold Coast Hockey Association wanted their inaugural awards night to be something a little different, so they came to Pickstar looking for the perfect sports star who could elevate the evening. The club was flexible with what they required, and after compiling a shortlist of talent they were interested in and submitting their request, the opportunity was seized by AFL favourite Peter 'Spida' Everitt. The former St Kilda star was welcomed by their many attendees and happily mingled and posed for photos. He then presented an entertaining and motivating 30-minute speech on his career and achievements before engaging in a Q&A session.
St Stephens School Sports Awards Assembly with Lauren Mitchell
St Stephens School were planning their Sports Awards Assembly to recognise the efforts of their athletes across a range of sporting competitions locally and nationally. Organisers came to Pickstar looking for the right guest speaker for the event, and were very excited to secure world champion gymnast and Commonwealth Games medalist Lauren Mitchell, who presented a 10-minute speech on her sporting career and met award recipients.
St Ignatius' College Senior Years Sports Awards Night with Katrina Webb
St Ignatius' College Adelaide recently held their annual Senior Years Sports Awards Night to celebrate and congratulate their year 10 to 12 students who participated in the College's 2019 sporting program. Thanks to Pickstar, students, teachers, and other attendees also had the opportunity to hear a motivational and uplifting speech from Australian Paralympic legend Katrina Webb OAM. Katrina also handed out trophies and shook hands with proud award winners.
