Georgia Inglis (Born 28th March 1994) from Perth, Western Australia. Georgia grew up in a very active and sport-orientated family, with her sister Maddison Inglis competing on the international tennis stage, with her ranking currently sitting at 120 in the world. While her brother James Inglis is also a dedicated motorsport enthusiast, racing dirt go-karts from a young age (holds multiple state and national titles) before turning his focus to speedway, where he competes around Australia.

After suffering a lifelong injury at the age of ten years old that left her a paraplegic. Following the heart-aching news that she was never going to walk again and the uncertainty of the road ahead. After a tough few years through her teenage years, Georgia decided this little bump in the road wasn’t going to define her and instead turned her focus on how she would make the best out of her situation.

With a high-performing family, it was only fair Georgia also chased her dreams. Making her debut with the Australian women’s national wheelchair basketball team at the Osaka cup in Japan in February 2013 and the Asia-Oceania Zone Qualifiers in Bangkok in November 2013. Georgia’s hard work and dedication with regard to her training and team leadership skills lead her to be presented with the amazing opportunity to fulfil a Scholarship to play Basketball for the University of Alabama, where they won a national championship in 2018.  Where she completed a Masters's in Women’s Studies - graduating in May 2020.

Georgia continues to enjoy the lifestyle that being a student-athlete has to offer. Further pursuing her passion for advocating for disability. Georgia is studying for a Masters's in Occupational Therapy and a PhD, researching how to improve the lives of those living with a spinal cord injury.
