Brooke Buschkuehl (née Stratton) is the current Australian record holder in the long jump who has participated at two Olympic Games and two Commonwealth Games respectively.

Her journey to international stardom began aged 5 at the Nunawading Little Athletics Club where she was coached by her dad Russell Stratton (who continues to coach her until this day).

Brooke finished seventh in the final of the long jump at the Olympics in both 2016 (Rio) and 2021 (Tokyo) while winning Silver medals at the 2018 (Gold Coast) and 2022 (Birmingham) Commonwealth Games to consolidate her status as one of the world’s elite long jumpers.

She is not only hugely passionate about her sport but also being an advocate for those suffering with Coeliac disease, which she was diagnosed with in 2012 as well as mental health advocacy having worked through her own battles whilst injured.
