Hi! My name is Nana Owusu-Afriyie and I'm an Australian and New Balance Track and Field athlete and have competed at both national and International levels in the 200m and 4x100m relay. I have represented the country at 6 international competitions including 2 World Athletic Junior Championships and the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar.

My passion for Athletics goes beyond my career I am currently an  Athletics coach at various Victorian schools in the APS and GSV system. 

In 2022 I graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Nutritional Science majoring in Public Health and Promotion. Following my education I’ve also pursued a career in Mcing/Hosting, Sports Media and Broadcasting and I’m very passionate about Improving the representation of women in sports and media, where they are underrepresented. 

Some of my Sports Media and hosting roles include hosting the 2023 Change Our Game International Women’s Day Lunch for The Office for Women in Sport and Recreation, being a Boundary Rider for Kayo 2023 Beachside Gift broadcast and Channel 7 plus broadcaster on their Stallwell Gift 3 day Broadcast. I'm also a 2022 Change Our Game Women in Sports Broadcasting Program Graduate and a 2023 Change Our Game Women in Sports Broadcasting Extension Program Graduate. 

I am also Co-Host on “For The Glory” - WattleNest. The WattleNest- Athlete Empowerment is a proud organisation that is proud to partner with Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) for the production and distribution of the ‘For the Glory’ TV series. For the Glory is a series of unique athlete content featuring an incredible diversity of sports and talent.

Through SEN TV we are providing passionate sports fans across Australia and New Zealand content across multiple platforms. The WattleNest is all about bringing a community that connects business and sport to build stronger, healthier and all-inclusive communities.
