Zielke is from Bundaberg, near the south east coast of Queensland. Grew up barracking for the Brisbane Broncos after not knowing much about AFL as a kid.
Emma has just recently retired after 5 years playing for the Brisbane Lions AFLW team, ending her playing career as the 2021 AFLW Premiership Captain. She has led her team to 3/5 grand finals. Zielke has now transitioned into coaching.
Emma is now the head coach of the the Brisbane Lions Academy, female programs.
