A right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman and former Australia Under-19 representative, Cameron Bancroft first played for Western Australia in List-A cricket in 2011. A first-class debut followed in 2013-14, when he played 11 matches as an opening batsman as the Warriors made it all the way to the Marsh Shield final.

Test cricket came calling for Bancroft ahead of the 2017/18 Ashes, a series which saw him post an unbeaten 82 in his second innings at Brisbane.

Part of the Test squad for the 2019 tour of South Africa, Bancroft chipped in with some gritty runs against a talented bowling attack. However, his involvement in the sandpaper scandal during the Cape Town Test handed him a nine-month ban.

After returning to action he quickly worked his way back into contention for national consideration, being selected in the squad for the 2019 Ashes in the UK and opening alongside David Warner in the first two Tests.

Outside of cricket, Cam enjoys golf, yoga & meditation.
