Brianna Throssell is professional swimmer who has represented Australia at the highest level. The 23-year-old Western Australian competed at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games where she swam in the final of the 200m Butterfly and placed eighth.
Throssell made a name for herself at the 2014 Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China, where she won seven medals, including three individual bronze in the 200m freestyle, 100m butterfly and 200m butterfly events.
More recently, Throssell was part of the 4x200m freestyle relay which broke the world record at the Swimming World Championships in July 2019.
Away from the pool, Throssell is highly driven and is studying a degree in physiotherapy and a degree in business. She and is now the owner of start-up business, West Coast Dress Hire.
