Charles is a journalist and the South Australian reporter for ABC’s News Breakfast.
Away from work, Charles competes in handcycling at a national level, is a two-time national champion and is aiming for the 2024 Paralympics.
He is passionate about helping to find a cure for spinal cord injuries and has raised more than $300,000 for research by riding long distances in his handcycle.
Charles broke his neck in a motorbike accident in 2010 which left him a quadriplegic.
