Nicola McDermott is an Australian high jumper and Olympic Medalist, who recently took home a silver at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She is also the current high jump Oceanian record holder and the only Australian female high jumper to clear 2.0m.

Along with her recent Olympic campaign, McDermott has also represented Australia at the 2017 London World Championships, 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games (Bronze Medalist) and the 2019 Doha World Championships.

She has also taken home multiple awards throughout her sporting journey, including being the 2018 Sydney University Sportswoman of the Year, the 2019 Central Coast Sportsperson of the Year, the 2019 Sydney University Blues Woman of the Year and receiving the 2021 Athletics Australia Betty Cuthbert Award.
