Tech giant Huawei teams up with Sally Pearson for Product Launch
To help launch and promote the new Huawei watches.
Unveiling their latest in wearable technology, Huawei set about getting the most out of their product launch event for their brand new range of smartwatches.
The Chinese multinational telecommunications company, understanding the impact that influencers can have, reached out to Pickstar to connect them with an athlete who could maximise exposure and reach new audiences.
Contacting Pickstar a short time before the product launch, Huawei did not have a specific athlete in mind, leaning on the knowledge of the Pickstar team to put together a shortlist of suitable talent.
Finding the right star to work with Huawei with a short turnaround was challenging, but Pickstar suggested Australian Olympic hurdler Sally Pearson, and Huawei loved the idea.
Pearson starred as the guest attendee and was able to deliver an engaging message about the newly-launched product, and opened up to the crowd in a Q and A session about her highly successful career.
Huawei's watches have since been exposed to Pearson’s 66,000 Instagram followers as she promotes some of the watch’s great features.
There was a strong reaction to Pearson’s social media posts which featured the watch, with the posts receiving more than 4,000 likes.
