Paul Fleming is a professional boxer and a proud first nation Australian man from Wakka Wakka, Wanyurr Majay, Yuggera country.

Fleming, who fought at the 2008 Olympics at featherweight, continued on to make his professional debut against veteran Shane Green scoring a 3rd-round TKO victory in the 6 round bout at the Maroochydore Rugby League Club, Queensland in November of 2008.

Following an explosive career start, Paul has since compiled a professional record of 26–0, with 17 knockouts.

Fleming is recognised in the Australian Olympic Committee list of Australian Indigenous Olympians and has recently designed an indigenous training shirt which will be worn by the Australian Olympic team during their trip to the Tokyo Olympics.

The shirt features 52 footsteps, representing the 52 indigenous athletes who have competed for Australia at Olympic level.

Paul Fleming now operates an Indigenous scaffolding company which focuses on hiring both Indigenous youth and adults, thus helping to close the gap.

In June 2022 Fleming signed an exclusive contract which includes 5 fights per year on Fox and Main Event.

Paul Fleming's focus on future endeavours include fighting for a world title, operating his own boxing gym (July 2022) and to continue working towards closing the gap.

Our staff at D4C had a great time listening to Paul tell his story! He was generous with his time, he spoke well and is so personable. We had comments from colleagues saying how much they enjoyed the event. Paul was such an engaging speaker and a nice person as well. He truly is an inspiration given his roots in Tully.
