In only two seasons of AFLW, Emma has built quite the resume. A hard running midfielder who is arguably the most damaging in the AFLW, Emma has won back to back Best & Fairest's for the Western Bulldogs, has been named in the All Australian Team twice, was a key member of the Western Bulldog's Premiership Team in 2018, and also won the AFLW Best & Fairest Award.

Growing up on a Sheep Station in country Victoria, Emma was raised similarly to most country kids where they try their hand at a number of sports. For Emma this included playing footy against the boys until the age she was no longer allowed to play which like most young girls in that era was extremely disappointing. It wasn't until around 2010 when Emma returned to the field for Melbourne University in the VWFL where she recaptured her love of the game.

At the conclusion of the 2018 season, North Melbourne and Geelong who are set to join the AFLW in 2019 started building their teams after months of list strategy. A high priority for North Melbourne was Emma due to her damaging form as well as the connection between the club and Melbourne Uni. After much deliberation, Emma decided to leave the Western Bulldogs and become North Melbourne's first signing. Whilst it was an extremely tough decision, Emma was excited to wear her new colours in 2019.

Announced as the inaugural Captain of the Kangaroos, Emma led the team admirably in what was a terrific season for both Emma and the Club. Whilst failing agonisingly short of a finals berth, Emma was once again named in the All Australian Team and finished Runner Up in the Club Best & Fairest.

Over the course of the first three seasons at North Melbourne, Emma has finished Runner Up in the Club Best & Fairest each year and been named in the All Australian Team, stamping her impact on the competition as one of the Leagues best players.

An extremely talented athlete, Emma managed to juggle a professional cricket career alongside her AFLW career and full time job. This has included playing for the Victorian Spirit and Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash, although in recent years she has shifted her focus to solely on footy.

Outside of Sport, Emma completed her Teaching Degree and currently works at the Club in ‘The Huddle’ Program.
