Sam burst onto the scene for the Geelong Falcons in 2016 playing some exceptional footy early in the season which put him right on the Cats radar as a possible father son selection.
The son of Sean, who played over 100 games for the Cats from 1991 – 1998, Sam has been a late developer having enjoyed playing his footy locally as well as for St Joseph’s before being listed in 2016 by the Falcons.
A crafty forward who hits the scoreboard and gets into dangerous spots, Sam also pushes into the midfield. With still only a slight frame, Sam will benefit from an AFL pre season heading into his first senior season with the Cats.
