Jamie Siddons is an Australian cricketer who played Sheffield Shield first-class cricket for 16 years. Initially playing for Victoria, he moved to South Australia in 1991. Siddons broke David Hooke’s Shield run record of 9,364 in 1996, going on to make 10,643 runs in 146 games. Siddons stands as the third-highest run scorer in the Shield’s history behind Darren Lehmann and Jamie Cox. Siddons represented Australia in a One Day International in 1977 and was a reserve for the 1987 Cricket World Cup.
Siddons went on to enjoy an illustrious coaching career. He began coaching the Bangladesh national cricket team in 2007 before going on to coach the Wellington Firebirds in New Zealand in 2011. Siddons then went on to be the Head Coach for the South Australian Redbacks. Siddons is currently the Batting Coach for the Bangladesh Cricket Team.
