Podsiadly was one of the AFL’s fairytale stories when he made his AFL debut as a 28-year-old for Geelong in 2010. A decorated state league performer, Podsiadly won a premiership in just his second season with the Cats, also taking out the club’s leading goalkicker award. The veteran joined Adelaide in the 2013 Trade Period and was a valuable contributor on and off the field in his two seasons as a player. He notched 21 games in 2014, then won Adelaide’s SANFL goalkicking award and the inaugural Phil Walsh Best Team Man honour despite not playing a senior game. A natural leader, mentor and role model to many of Adelaide’s current squad, Podsiadly signed on as an Assistant Coach following his retirement as a player in September of 2015.
