Kane battled himself onto an AFL list with a breakout year in the 2012 WAFL season. After missing previous drafts, Kane won the Sandover Medal (best and fairest player in the WAFL), Claremont’s best and fairest and the 2012 WAFL Premiership. He was picked up by Port Adelaide the following year in the 2013 Rookie Draft. After playing 35 AFL games, Kane was delisted at the end of the 2016 season.
