Jason’s story is one of incredible sustained success at cricket’s top level for both Australia and Western Australia while overcoming a series of crippling back injuries. 

Following his first-class debut in 2011, Jason thrust himself into the spotlight in the 2014-15 season helping WA win the domestic one-day title and T20 title for the Perth Scorchers before being named Australian Domestic Cricketer of the Year. He has since gone on to win five One Day titles and four T20 titles with Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers. 

Jason has produced several memorable moments in the green and gold for Australia, including taking five wickets in an innings during the ICC Cricket World Cup in England (2019) at Lords where his name is now etched in history alongside some of the games’ greatest bowlers on the honour board. 2024 saw him receive the men’s T20 International player of the year for Australia. 

His second T20 match for Australia saw him take 4/21, removing India's formidable top four of Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and Manish Pandey.

Making these feats all the more remarkable is Jason’s ability to rebound from four crippling stress fractures in his back and invasive surgery to consistently return and perform at the elite level.
