Galekovic was a professional footballer who’s last club was Melbourne City FC as well as an Australia international. He made his career debut for South Melbourne FC, playing there for a few seasons before spending a season with Biera Mar in Portugal. Upon his return to Australia he signed with Melbourne Victory. In 2007 Galekovic jumped to Adelaide United where he became captain in the 2011/12 season. In 2017 he left the club, signing a two year deal with Melbourne City FC. Internationally he was picked up by the Socceroos in 2009 for an AFC Asian Cup Qualifying match. He was also part of the Australian squad for the 2010 & 2014 World Cup squads. He has two A-League Premierships and Championships under his belt, with Melbourne Victory and Adelaide United. He is currently the head Goal keeping coach at Adelaide United.
