Nikki Nield (previously known as Nikki Gore) is a current AFLW player for the Fremantle Football Club. Growing up in South Australia Nikki always had a dream of playing AFL for the Adelaide Crows. Through pure determination, hard work, dedication and resilience, that dream was accomplished when Nikki was picked up as Adelaide's first selection at the 2018 NAB AFLW Draft, with pick No.8. Nikki has now played 5 seasons at AFLW level and achieved the ultimate goal of winning an AFLW Premiership with the Adelaide Crows in 2022. Nikki's eyes are now set on even bigger personal goals and she is determined to achieve more and develop further in her career. In pursuit of this, Nikki recently took advantage of an opportunity with the Fremantle Dockers in WA. Nikki is a fierce competitor that has overcome many hurdles and is willing to sacrifice it all to achieve the ultimate goal. She has a deep understanding and can therefore share about what it is to work hard to achieve goals, to sacrifice and to work within a team environment. Being in the public eye she has developed excellent communication skills and is an excellent role model not only for the younger generation but for anyone who has a desire to be the best they can be.
