Born in Maronderra, Zimbabwe, before moving to Queensland at a young age, Dom Du Toit joined the Rugby Sevens program at the start of 2015 after a series of stunning performances at the 2014 Youth Olympics in Nanjing. The lightning quick winger scored eight tries throughout the campaign - including a remarkable hat trick in the Cup final - to help Australia to a Gold medal.

Dom was a travelling reserve for the Australian team that competed at the Rio 2016 Olympics.

More recently Dom was a member of the team that received a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in 2017 as well as winning the 2017/2018 World Series 7’s Title.

This year Dom and the team are looking to place in the top four in World Series to automatically qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
