A skilled leader with many accomplishments on and off the football field, Simon's career started upon graduating from the Australian Institute of Sport. He went on to represent the Socceroos on 26 occasions, was a member of the Australian Olympic team at the Sydney 2000 Games and played in over 350 professional senior games in Australia's national competitions (NSL & A-League) and overseas. Simon is one of only two footballers to be awarded the Joe Marston Medal on two occasions (Best player on the field in a Grand Final) - the first in Perth Glory's 2003 NSL Championship winning side and the second in Sydney FC's 2009/2010 A-League title. 

As a former captain and leader on the field and in the honorary role as president of Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) for 10 years off the field, Simon has gained valuable insight and developed the knowledge needed to speak to corporates and sporting clubs about leadership, motivating teamwork and the implementation and development of strategic plans.

In addition to his domestic experiences, Simon is currently the Deputy General Secretary (CEO) of FIFPRO, who is the worldwide representative organisation for 65,000 professional footballers. FIFPRO, with its global headquarters in the Netherlands, is made up of more than 65 national players' associations. As such, providing him with proficiencies to speak to corporates that have or would like to expand their business activities globally.
