Create an experience with Josh Katz

I am a 26 year old Judo athlete currently residing in Sydney, Australia. At 18 years old, I became the youngest Australian male to ever compete at the Olympic Games in Judo in Rio 2016, and alongside my brother Nathan, were the first Australian brothers to ever compete at the same Olympic Games in Judo.

I have been an ambassador for the Black Dog Institute as part of the 2022 Mental Fitness Program, and participated as a mentor in the 2019 Australian Olympic Committee’s Change-Maker Program. I have also completed a double degree in Exercise and Sport Science & Sport Management.

Throughout my sporting journey, I have worked as an active speaker in the Australian Olympic Committee's Olympics Unleashed and the Victorian Institute of Sport's "Be Well Be Fit" program, speaking in over 100 schools and sporting clubs across Australia.

During this time, I have also gained experience sports coaching working individually with many junior Judo athletes at a local, state and national level.

Now in 2024, my brother and I have started our own independent speaking and mentoring business, with our mission to help others reach their potential in primary and high schools, sporting clubs and organisations across Australia. We touch on goal setting, building resilience and determination, and creating successful daily habits and behaviours.

Presentations will be delivered to large groups, with mentoring to focus on small group individual activities.
