2020 South Australian Local Hero and long-time Cystic Fibrosis advocate, Emmah Money is a motivational speaker, author, mentor, podcast host, and emcee who has dedicated her life to inspiring others through resilience, authenticity, and lived experience.

Born with the life-threatening lung disease Cystic Fibrosis and given up for adoption at birth, Emmah was not expected to survive infancy—let alone go on to live a life full of impact, purpose, and passion. At just 17, she discovered her biological family through a chance encounter, a turning point that helped shape her outlook and her mission to lead with love, strength, and hope.

Now a mother of four, Emmah continues to defy expectations—not just as a woman living with an invisible illness, but as a dynamic changemaker on both national and international stages. From her powerful keynote at the Global Leadership Forum in Pittsburgh (alongside the likes of Bill Clinton and Jamie Oliver) to her raw and relatable presence online, Emmah connects with people of all ages through stories of adversity, perseverance, and possibility.

She is the founder of CF Mummy, a platform that began as a way to share her pregnancy journey after being told she would never have children. It has since grown into a thriving community that educates and empowers others navigating chronic illness, parenthood, and self-belief.

Emmah’s debut autobiography, The Words Inside, was published at 17, detailing her experience with adoption, illness, and rediscovery. Over the years, she has developed tailored speaking programs for schools, corporate settings, and health organizations, covering topics such as leadership, resilience, self-reflection, overcoming adversity, and understanding diversity.

A sought-after emcee and speaker, Emmah’s passion is rooted in real impact. She has raised over $100,000 for Cystic Fibrosis research and support, served as ambassador for Cystic Fibrosis Australia and Cure4CF, and created the podcast The Princess of Possible, a celebration of real stories from people living with CF.
