Madii Himbury is a determined and inspiring athlete, rich in personality with a go get attitude. Her passion for elite sports started with gymnastics until she fell in love with Snowsports. Madii quickly progressed within mogul skiing making her World Cup debut at 21 years old. She subsequently qualified for her first Olympics in 2018, finishing in 20th place.

Madii's career highlights include a finals finish at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, 10th place at Calgary 2017 World Cup, 20th place at 2017 World Championships and 3rd overall female in the 2019 Continental Cup. Returning against after two years of recurrent injuries to place 7th at USA nationals 2021. 

Madii has not experienced a smooth path to her success, having to overcome many physical and mental battles in the previous 12 years. Major setbacks she has overcome include three ACL tears, back fractures as well as mental illness. Madii's ability to prevail despite these injuries is a testament to her strength in character, immense commitment and resilience. She is aiming to represent Australia at the 2022 Winter Olympics as a fierce competitor.

Outside of sport, Madii is passionate about health and well-being and would like to practice physiotherapy in the future. She has been diligent with her studies, completing a Bachelor in Exercise and Sports Science and a Masters of Public Health at The University of Sydney. Where she was named 2018 female Blue of the year, received a university graduate medal for leadership and sporting achievement as well as 2020 elite athlete program valedictorian
She loves working with young people and encourages them to be active and strive to achieve their own sporting goals. This is evident in her commitment to her current work of coaching and judging gymnastics, fitness training, ski team coordination and athlete mentoring.
