BIOGRAPHY

Justin Jones - otherwise affectionately known as Jonesy, is Australia's pre-eminent Explorer, keynote speaker, adventure thinker and storyteller. His expeditions have taken him to the very corners of the world. From the depths of a blizzard in Antarctica, to the terror of 10 metre waves towering above in a storm at sea and the suffocating heat in the heart of the Outback. He currently holds two Guinness World Record and a place as one of Australia's 50 Greatest Explorers of all time. Over the past 18 years he has made a career of undertaking huge, epic, record setting expeditions around the world and sharing these on the stage and the screen. • • • Jonesy is a passionate story teller. He whole heartedly believes that if you want an audience to walk away inspired - with takeaways firmly cemented in mind, you have to shift them emotionally first. To date he has shared his keynotes and facilitated workshops to over 350,000 people globally. Only by moving an audience emotionally can you leave a lasting impression • • • Jonesy fiercely believes that ANYONE is capable of being GREAT. EXPERIENCE

For the past 16 years Jonesy has splitting his time between the outdoors, the boardroom and the stage. Expeditions: • World first kayak across the Tasman Sea; Australia to New Zealand • World first ski expedition from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole and back • World first full traverse if the Murray River in Australia • Walked 1800km in the Outback with a 1 year old! • Crossed Bass Strait in a kayak (9 days, 360km) • Reopened a lost trail in the Okefenokee Swamp, Georgia, USA • Multiple mountaineering summits; NZ, Indonesia and Australia • Polar training expeditions, Baffin Island 2011 and Northern Canada 2014 • Run numerous ultra marathons (including 88km with a broken leg) Keynote Speaking: Since the successful conclusion of the Tasman expedition, Jonesy has presented to over 350,000 people in over 15 different countries. His main clients incorporate ASX 200 and S&P 500 companies, international and domestic forums (such as Green Cities 2013, Creative Innovation 2015, Ellucian Live 2016), and prestigious associations. 'Adventure Thinking' and Facilitation: For the past three years Jonesy has been highly sought after as a workshop facilitator and a leader in 'Adventure Thinking' - a process and mindset that enables people to take the seemingly impossible make it digestible and tangible. Education: Jonesy completed a Bachelor of Advanced Science with Honours at the University of New South Wales, after attending Knox Grammar School in Sydney, Australia. Not content with standing still he has attained Diplomas in Event Management and Outdoor Recreation and is currently deep-diving into the world of Design Thinking.
