Video Shout-Out from Isabel Hodgson

Isabel Hodgson is the current Adelaide United in the A-league womens captain and bas been apart of the team since the age of 17. Growing as a player through South Australia's youth state teams, Hodgson has represented the State on 5 occasions before making her senior W-League debut in 2013, as well as representing the country in the Under 21's Young Matilda's Team in 2014/15.

Competing on the National stage before completing high school gained Hodgson international exposure and recognition, enticing East Tennessee State University's Head Womens Soccer Coach Adam Sayers to pick up the South Australian on a Football Scholarship, taking her over to the United States to compete in the NCAA Division competition in 2015. A stand out in her team from the start, Hodgson was named Captain in her Freshman year, and lead the ETSU Buccaneers for the next four years. Throughout her college campaign, Hodgson was named in the NCAA Southern Conference team in 2016 and 2018, as well as breaking the record at East Tennessee University as the colleges most capped Womens Soccer Player.

Whilst in the college off season, Hodgson returns to Adelaide to compete in the Womens National Premier League, as a starting 11 player for National Champions, Adelaide City, as well as being an integral part of the Lady Reds.

Interesting Facts:

Izzy is a theatre major at ETSU, and is heavily involved in Performing Arts both at College and home in Adelaide. She has played lead roles in Musicals such as RENT, Oliver, The Simpsons and Sound of Music, and more.
