A host with 20 years experience in mainstream media across radio, television and podcasts, Byron Cooke is a respected name in the media personality.
Kickstarting his radio career by moving from regional radio to an on-air gig at Western Sydney alternative rock station “9inety6ix.1”, it wasn't long before Byron left the comfort of Australia to explore a two year run as a presenter on the world famous XFM in London, England.
After an exciting stint of interviewing renowned musical artists, Byron returned to Australia for an on-air role with Sydney’s no.1 hit music station 2DAY FM, before quickly transitioning to the rock side of the Austereo network to host Triple M’s national music specials and anchor “The Shebang” with Fifi Box & Marty Sheargold.
As host of the Triple M Network’s broadcast of the historic “Live 8” event, Byron won an Australian Commercial Radio Award winner for “Best Music Special” in 2006.
Byron has also scored several Australian Commercial Radio Awards and was even named “International Radio Personality Of The Year” at the Worldwide Radio Summit in Los Angeles.
Not just limited to music & radio, Byron has also been a feature of various sports programs on the Seven Network since 2014 including five seasons hosting “Beats By Gameday” talking music with the biggest names in the AFL, as well as covering horse racing events such as the Melbourne Cup Carnival and Magic Millions.
Byron concluded his final commercial radio stint in 2020 after a 5 year run as co-host of the "Fifi, Fev and Byron" breakfast show on 101.9 Fox FM Melbourne and is now making a strong name for himself as the host of the Byron Cooke Show!
