Jocelyn is a Sydney-based psychologist and thought leader on digital wellbeing and cyberpsychology. Jocelyn has been studying the impacts of technology use on human behaviour for a decade and brings a fear-free, research-backed approach to navigating the constantly evolving issues of tech use - from social media trends to the risks and opportunities of generative AI.
Digital Nutrition™ is Jocelyn’s award-winning framework (created in 2013) for considering ways in which we can have a healthy and sustainable relationship with technology. This framework borrows from the analogy with food to help technology users deploy the 'technology' under their skulls to intentionally and intelligently use the devices in their pockets.
Jocelyn regularly gives keynote addresses at major educational & mental health conferences such as EduTECH and Happiness and It’s Causes. In 2019 and 2020 she appeared on ABC TV’s Q&A panel advising on digital health and wellbeing. She has a dynamic, relatable style than blends authenticity with academia.
Jocelyn was junior club champion of Auburn ASC in 1986 and made it to the NSW state championships in 1994 for the 200m Breaststroke on only 2 training sessions a week.
