Create an experience with Jack Riewoldt

Adored by his fans, Jack epitomises the emotions of the AFL and wears his heart on his sleeve. Recruited from the Tassie Mariners in 2006, Jack had the luxury of playing against men in his junior days for local club, Clarence, which no doubt enabled his smooth transition into the AFL ranks.

 The two time Coleman Medalist and All Australian has led the Tigers goal kicking for the last 6 consecutive seasons, a massive achievement considering the fact he regularly uses his athleticism to play up the ground to help support his team mates.

Enjoying a fine couple of seasons, Jack was pivotal in the Tigers push into September action in the last few years, before the team dipped in 2016. However, after adding a few key players to the list in 2017, Jack and the Tigers achieved the ultimate when they beat Adelaide to win the Premiership. Jack was extraordinary throughout the entire season, playing selfless footy for the team, yet still kicking 54 goals. 

Continuing their fine form into 2018, the Tigers were Premiership favourites heading into the finals, before having a rare off night against Collingwood in the Preliminary Final, ending their chance for back-to-back flags. Jack had an incredible season, winning the Club’s Best & Fairest for a second time as well as winning the Coleman Medal for a third time.

In what has been a tremendous transformation at the club, Richmond have come one of the most dominant teams of the modern era. Smashing the GWS Giants in the 2019 Grand Final with Jack kicking 5 goals, Richmond, like all clubs in 2020 faced some unprecedented events. However, like all good teams they handled it in their stride, and although they lived away from home for over three months, they ran out comfortable winners against Geelong in the 2020 Grand Final to go back-to-back and win their third Premiership in four seasons. This transformation has been due to the hard work that Jack and some of his long standing team mates have put in over the journey to create a winning culture.

A regular on AFL 360 on Tuesday nights, Jack has been able to show his incredible football intellect. His love for media also opened up an opportunity with WTFN on a new lifestyle program “The Great Weekend”, which saw Jack broaden his horizons and host a regular segment which aired on Channel 7. In 2020 whilst up in the AFL hub in Queensland, Jack hosted his own radio program “Tiger Time” a show dedicated to Richmond fans before taking on SEN Tasmania’s Breakfast Radio Show as co-host alongside Tim Paine. In addition to his media, Jack has completed his Building Certificate after undertaking numerous renovations on property he has bought and sold.
