Born in Goondiwindi, Queensland. Ethan Lowe is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer, Ethan Lowe played as a goal kicking second-row for the North Queensland Cowboys and South Sydney Rabbitohs in the NRL.

He made his NRL debut in 2013 and played 143 matches, the first 108 with the Cowboys before switching to Souths. Lowe started in the second row for North Queensland in their 2015 grand final win over Brisbane.

A highly respected player, Lowe was a member of the North Queensland Cowboys' 2015 NRL Grand Final and 2016 World Club Challenge winning sides and played for Queensland in the 2019 State of Origin series.

Lowe was forced into a medical retirement at the end of 2020 after rupturing a disc in his neck and suffering spinal cord damage as a result of a crusher tackle
