Hannah Kendall is one of Britain's most exciting young classical composers. Her music has attracted the attentions of some of the UK’s finest groups including London Philharmonic Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, BBC Singers, and Philharmonia Orchestra, with performances at the Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room, The Royal Opera House's Linbury Studio Theatre, The Roundhouse, Westminster, Canterbury, Gloucester and St Paul’s Cathedrals, Westminster Abbey and Cheltenham Music Festival.

Hannah was BBC Radio 3’s 'Composer of the Week' in March 2015, the same year she won the Women of the Future Award for Arts and Culture.

In 2017 she was commissioned by the BBC Proms to write an orchestral piece for Chineke!, 'The Spark Catchers' premiering at the Royal Albert Hall that August and broadcast across he BBC.

In 2020 Hannah had the honour of her commission, 'Tuxedo: Vasco de Gama', opening the BBC Proms season at the Royal Albert Hall.

Born in London in 1984, Hannah graduated with First Class Honours in Music from Exeter University, and completed Masters’ with Distinction in Advanced Composition from the Royal College of Music, and Arts Management from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
