It is no exaggeration to say that Flex Lewis is Britain's answer to Arnold Schwarzenegger. Indeed, Flex's career as a bodybuilder has been continually likened to Arnie's and their philosophy on life and business remarkably similar. In 2017, Flex equalled Arnie's record of 6 consecutive Mr Olympia titles. The following year he surpassed it with his 7th and secured his place as the world's greatest bodybuilder.

Flex's first love was rugby and had dreams of playing on the wing for Wales. He had rugby scholarships to join the armed forces but a shoulder injury forced him to an extended period on the sidelines. While recuperating in the gym he was inspired to become a bodybuilder and rapidly achieved great success at regional and national level.

This led to his first business, running a removal firm for which he won several awards. As a bodybuilder lifting heavy furniture the advertising campaigns wrote themselves and the business was a huge success. 

However, Flex had ambitions to be the best bodybuilder he could be, and that meant going to Los Angeles and it's famous Venice Beach - a world away from growing up in Llanelli.

He has never looked back since, winning over 30 national and international titles. But it is with Mr Olympia he is most synonymous. The "world cup" of professional bodybuilding, it is the sport's most famous contest and, should he match Arnie's feats, will secure his place in bodybuilding history.

No one will be able to say he doesn't deserve it, having committed his life to the most gruelling training and diet regime an athlete can experience. Yet Flex remains humble, determined, focused; the same lad from the valleys all those years ago. An intelligent, smart and genuine personality, he looks to contradict the stereotype of "dumb muscle man" at every opportunity.

Despite all this success, bodybuilding will never be enough and Flex is always looking to better himself. He now runs several successful businesses and brands and continually developing new projects. He has many more exciting challenges ahead and goals to achieve.

With his track record, you wouldn't bet against him achieving them.
