Darren Hicks is an Australian Paralympic cyclist who has won several World Road and Track Championships.
At the 2020 Paralympics, Hicks won the gold medal in the Men's Road Time Trail C2. At the Para-cycling Road Championships, Hicks has won gold in 2019 and silver medals for Men's Individual Time Trial C2 and silver and bronze medals for Men's Road Race C2. At the UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships, he has won gold for Men's 3km Indvidual Pursuit C2 in 2019 and silver for Men's Scratch Race C1-3.
Hicks was involved in a tragic accident in 2014, where the truck he was driving lost control on the South Eastern Freeway in Adelaide. This resulted in Hicks needing to have his right leg amputated.
