Jess Foley is a former Australian women’s basketball player who has represented Australia at both junior and senior levels. Foley was formally the captain of the Adelaide Lightening and won gold with Australia at the FIBA Oceania Championships in 2009. Foley attended Duke University in North Carolina for basketball and was subsequently drafted in the WNBA but could not play due to injury.
Foley currently works as a doctor in the Emergency Department at the Flinders Hospital. Foley is currently an AFL player and was part of Sturt’s inaugural SANFL Women’s team. Foley is a great public speaker across a range of topics and is passionate about injury prevention in young athletes.
