About me

Born in Orange in 1992, Jade Warrender began playing hockey at six years of age. An
early start to organized sport assisted greatly with Jade’s technical development and keen interest in, and love of sport, especially hockey.
This passion continues to be demonstrated today as Jade works to complete her Exercise Science and Secondary Education degree at Murdoch University whilst training to achieve a life long dream of representing Australia at the Olympic Games.
In 2009 Jade enjoyed the high of represented Australia at the Junior World Cup in Boston only to be devastated by injury months later, under going her first knee reconstruction.
Working hard to overcome this setback, Jade was rewarded with NSW Arrows representation and then in February 2011 she made her debut for Australia. Having been selected then in the 2012 Olympic Squad, Jade’s resolve and resilience was once again tested when she reinjured her knee and faced her second reconstruction on the eve of possible Olympic selection.
