The Western Bulldogs’ 2016 AFL Premiership captain, and All Australian, Wood is an athletic, intercept-marking defender who has the ability to play on a range of different opponents.

Debuting in 2009, injury restricted Wood to just 45 games in his first five seasons, however has since gone on to achieve 150 career games in 2019.

A cornerstone of the Bulldogs’ defense under Luke Beveridge, Wood enjoyed a stellar 2015 season, playing 22 games and achieving All Australian honours for the first time. In 2016, Wood stepped into the captaincy role in the absence of Bob Murphy, leading the club to its historic premiership victory.
