Darcy Fort's journey to the AFL is one of resilience and motivation.
After missing out on selection in his draft year of 2012, Darcy joined Werribee in the VFL. He played four games in the 2013 season, then decided to move to rival VFL side Footscray, where he would spend the next two years of his career.
Following this stint, Darcy moved to Central Districts in the SANFL, where he would become a key player and begin another push for an AFL selection.
Following a standout 2018 season, Darcy was selected with pick 65 at the National Draft.
Fort was traded to the Brisbane Lions at the conclusion of the 2021 AFL season. He has gone on to play in 18 games for the Lions in 2022.
