Daniel started his senior career signing for the Toowoomba Raiders in the BPL at just fifteen years of age. He then signed for Brisbane Roar in 2008, before making the move to Gold Coast United three years later. He scored his first senior career goal against Newcastle Jets in 2012, where he was playing right back. Only two weeks after, Daniel signed a two-year contract with Adelaide United before coming back home to Brisbane in 2014, where he is currently playing for the Brisbane Roar. Daniel was also part of the Australian national squad from 2007 through to 2011.
