A sergeant in the Australian Defence Force, Astin has served all around Australia for the last 13 years.
Astin began his archery career in 2013 whilst in the Army, at the age of 27. As part of his recovery from multiple knee surgeries, he discovered his passion at the local PCYC.
Since 2018, Astin has represented Australia internationally at World Cups, World Championships, and various events throughout Asia and Oceania.
He continues to represent Australia both in uniform and on the archery range. Astin currently trains in Melbourne.
