Ailish Considine is a Gaelic Football star from County Clare, Ireland. Ailish was picked up as a Rookie by the Adelaide Crows after her talent was spotted by the AFLW recruits during the Cross Coders trial camp, which was ran in September 2018. She graduated from the Cross Coders programme, which was a global initiative to give athletes from sports across the globe the opportunity to play AFLW. She took a big step by moving from Ireland to pursue a career in AFLW with the Adelaide Crows.

Ailish made her debut in Round 1 against the Western Bulldogs and has since played 8 games in AFLW season 3 including the Preliminary Final and Grand Final which took place in the Adelaide Oval. She scored 4 goals along the way, and became the first Irish woman to win an AFLW Premiership. Ailish has been resigned as a Rookie for the 2020 season.

In Ireland she plays Gaelic Football and Camogie at the highest level for County Clare and has played at every age group along the way. She has a leadership role in the Clare Football team as she has been Vice-Captain for the past three years. She has also represented her university (University of Limerick) at the highest level in both football and Camogie and has won an O’Connor Cup (Gaelic Football) in 2015 and an Ashbourne Cup (Camogie) in 2018.

Outside of sport, Ailish has graduated with a BSc in Health & Leisure in 2012, Sports Massage Therapy in 2017 and Exercise & Fitness Science in May 2018. She is also a fully qualified Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor, Lifeguard and Swimming Teacher. Ailish has experience in coaching, kids clinics and summer camps and personal training.
