Tony Modra is a former Australian rules football star, who started his career at the age of 23, with the Adelaide Football Club. Modra was well known for his impeccable marking abilities, and amazing capability to find the goals. Modra became an instant success story, kicking 10 goals at the start of his second season with Adelaide Crows, and went on to finish runner up to Gary Ablett Snr in the Coleman Medal of 1993. Modra kicked an astonishing total of 119 goals in his second season with the Adelaide Football Club.
Modra went on to win three Mark of the Year Awards and one Coleman Medal. Although his trouble with injury was a common occurrence during his career, Modra still had a lot of success and is recognised as one of Adelaide Football Club’s greatest players. Modra was then traded to Fremantle where he retired in 2001.

Tony Modra’s personal interests
On top of his passion for AFL and his commitment to give back to the South Australian Football League, Modra is also passionate about animals and farming, and currently runs his own beef farm which is located at Waitpinga near Victor Harbor.
Modra still participates in multiple charities to help raise funds for good causes such as, The Little Heroes Foundation. His compassionate behaviour for South Australia makes him the perfect candidate to MC at your next event.
