Kaitlyn Torpey in a rising-star who currently plays for Brisbane Roar in the W-
League. Kaitlyn signed for the Roar when she was just 14 and made her W-
League debut two years later in 2016 with a win over Sydney FC. She has
impressed from an early age scoring 27 goas in 21 matches for Olympic FC in her
youth career. In 2017 she was called up to the Young Matildas for the AFC U19
Championship in China.
Kaitlyn was nervous beginning her W-League career and felt pressure both
mentally and physically to perform at the level but learnt quickly that she
needed more confidence in herself to perform well. Although still young, she is
already comfortable on the field. She has a long-term goal of being a regular
international for Australia and considering her attitude on and off the field this
should be a reality for her before too long
