Started playing professionally in the old NSL as a 17yr old for Brisbane Strikers in 1999. My career has taken me to play in Romania for 5yrs, New Zealand for 2yrs, Saudi Arabia for 1yr and Australia. I have represented Australia in the Under 20 World Cup in Argentina in 2001, the Athens Olympic Games in 2004, made my debut for the Socceroos in 2004 and have worn the sacred shirt on 18 occasions. Am married with 3 young boys. Former player at Adelaide United.
So many life experiences hard to choose a few. Moved overseas as a 20yr old to live and play in Romania without knowing the language or a single person. I learned the language, experienced the culture and made some lifelong friends over a 5yr period. I also spent 1yr playing and living in Saudi Arabia which was an amazing football and life experience. The Arabic culture, religious beliefs and the way of life of the Saudi people, really is amazing to experience.
