The 85th Wallaby captain, Dean played 56 tests for Australia and over 100 games for the NSW Waratahs. Dean also played for 3 seasons in the UK for the Exeter Chiefs, captaining the side for 2 of those years.
Aside from Rugby, Dean and his wife Sarah, founded a research charity in Australia called Borne HMRI which focuses on the prevention of premature birth. Premature birth is a cause close to their hearts after losing four children simply because they were born too soon.
In April, 2018 Dean trekked to the North Pole in aid of the charity as a part of a group which raised over £1m for the charity.
Dean is currently head of delivery (operations and strategy) at Recovre, a leading national occupational rehabilitation comapny and is a director of The Rugby Union Players Association and The Cauliflower Club.
A husband, and father to 6 year old son Alfie, and 2 year old Rupert.
